Alta Arms is a family-owned firearms manufacturer based in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho. Founded in 2012, the company was built from a genuine passion for shooting and a commitment to doing things the right way. What started as a love for firearms and performance quickly grew into a shop trusted by shooters who care about accuracy, reliability, and honest workmanship.

From the beginning, Alta Arms focused on one goal: providing precision firearms and components that perform consistently in real shooting conditions.

Founded by a Competitive Shooter

Things perform more effectively when the individual behind them possesses genuine experience. In shooting, this experience is gained through time spent on the range, under match conditions, and through trial and error. Building or tuning a firearm is one thing, but understanding how it behaves with every shot is another.

Alta Arms was founded by Jessiah, a competitive shooter who has faced the same challenges other shooters deal with. He knows how small issues show up in real use and how overlooked details can affect accuracy and consistency. That experience guides how firearms are built, how problems are diagnosed, and how tuning decisions are made.

Because he has been in those situations himself, Jessiah understands what works, what does not, and why. This allows Alta Arms to troubleshoot efficiently and apply solutions that lead to noticeable improvements in performance, not just changes on paper.
